Real-time Availability

How Real-time Availability Works

Every parking listing on Parada has a live status that updates automatically as drivers browse, book, and pay. When a driver adds a listing to their cart and checks out, the listing status moves from Listed to Booked instantly — preventing any other driver from booking the same slot for the same period.

This means what you see when browsing is always current. There is no manual refresh needed and no risk of two drivers booking the same slot.

Listing Status Lifecycle

A listing passes through these statuses from creation to completion:

Listed Booked Active Completed
Listed Open and bookable. Drivers can add this slot to their cart.
Booked A driver has submitted a booking request. The slot is held and no longer available to other drivers while owner approval is pending.
Payment completed. The booking is confirmed. Exact address and access instructions are unlocked for the driver.
Active The booking start date has arrived — the driver is currently using the space.
Completed Booking period ended. The owner can re-list the space for future dates.
Expired The listing's available window passed without a completed booking, or it was manually cancelled by the owner or driver.
Overlap Protection

When a booking is paid, Parada automatically cancels any other listings from the same owner that overlap the confirmed booking period. This prevents owners from accidentally double-listing the same physical space at the same time.

Example: If an owner listed Slot A for May 1–31 and another driver books May 10–20, any other listing covering May 10–20 for the same space is automatically cancelled when payment is received.
Search & Date Filtering

The Parkings search page filters results by availability window. When you enter a date range, only listings whose window overlaps your requested period are shown — expired or fully booked listings are excluded automatically.

Click any card to open the detail page. The booking form restricts your start and end inputs to the listing's available window.
Frequently Asked Questions
Another driver checked out and submitted a booking request for that slot before you did. Listing status updates in real time, so the slot was available when you first opened it but became Booked moments later. Browse other listings or check back — if the owner declines the request, the status returns to Listed.
No. The moment a booking request is submitted, the listing status moves to Booked and is no longer bookable by other drivers. Only one driver can hold the slot at a time.
Yes. If the owner declines, the listing returns to Listed status immediately and other drivers can book it again.
The listing card on the Parkings page shows a colored status badge. A green Listed badge means the slot is open. Only Listed and Updated listings appear in search results by default.
